Veterinary medicine has been my passion since I can remember. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, animals made my childhood special and supported me through my teen years. They have always had a special place in my heart and life. After earning my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the Dominican Republic, I continued my career in Spain, where I obtained recognition of my veterinary qualifications. While there, I completed a master's degree in Diagnostic Methods in Domestic Animals at the University of Murcia, where I developed a special interest in diagnostic imaging and clinical pathology, particularly veterinary ultrasound and cytology. To further expand my clinical experience, I completed veterinary externships at referral hospitals in New Jersey, California, and Barcelona .Since moving to Canada, I have remained committed to lifelong learning, completing advanced continuing education courses in abdominal ultrasound, veterinary dentistry, and soft tissue surgery over the past five years. Over the past five years, I’ve found a true professional home at Baxter Animal Hospital, where I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team. Their support, collaboration, and shared commitment to exceptional patient care inspire me every day to continue growing as a veterinarian. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two daughters, our cats Alora and Nemo, and our dog Dulce. I also enjoy cooking and baking bread, and I cherish every opportunity to create lasting memories with my family.
