Spreading the Christmas Spirit

It was Baxter Animal’s first time participating in the Sudbury Christmas Parade on November 18, 2017.

Our theme was a Gingerbread House, and we incorporated Canada’s 150th birthday.

Staff worked together to build a float from scratch, and our decorations were mostly handmade, and the house was made out of cardboard.

As we were loading up to leave, snow began to fall, but that wasn’t going to stop us. We were layered up and ready to go.

All staff had lights on them even our dogs. We had our clinic banner leading the way.

Once it became dark, it was amazing to see our gingerbread house all lit up. It was well worth all of our work we put in.

I must say walking through the streets and wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas” gave me back my Christmas spirit which I had lost. I was amazed at how many children and parents were out all bundled up waiting to receive candies and anxiously waiting to see Santa.

It reminded me of what Christmas is all about.

Baxter Animal Hospital wishes you and all your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
