Practice Manager

Registered Veterinary Technician

I started working in the veterinary field when I was a teenager and had a part-time job as a veterinary assistant after school and on the weekend.  That experience in a veterinary hospital changed the trajectory of my professional path because I developed a passion for veterinary medicine that continues to grow decades later.  After working as an assistant during high school and university, I decided to pursue a career as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  I graduated from Seneca College’s Veterinary Technician program and worked for decades as the lead RVT at Cambrian Animal Hospital.

I transitioned to the practice manager in 2020, although I still get to work as an RVT on some occasions because I love working with patients and clients.  Baxter Animal Hospital is a sister clinic to Cambrian Animal Hospital and when the opportunity opened to be the practice manager at Baxter Animal Hospital, I jumped at the chance.  The team at Baxter practice gold standard medicine and care deeply for their patients and clients, so I was eager to join this amazing group of veterinary professionals.

The favourite part of my job is getting to know our patients as puppies and kittens and watching them grow and mature over the years.  I have a special place in my heart for senior pets – “Old is Gold” is something my teams have heard me say repeatedly.  I have a passion for dog training and tattoos.  In my time off, I love to be outdoors with my crazy Belgian Malinois, who keeps me on my toes and fills my dog training passion because we are training as a team all the time!
